Textile resources July 11th, the latest customs statistics show that in 2008 June, China's textile and clothing exports amounted to US $15 billion 520 million, down 6.06% over the same period last year.

Among them, clothing and clothing accessories exported US $9 billion 872 million, down 14.96% compared with the same period last year, and textile yarns, fabrics and articles were US $5 billion 648 million, an increase of 23.13% over the same period last year.


In the first half of the year, China's textile and apparel exports totaled 82 billion 411 million US dollars, up 10.15% from the same period last year.

The total export volume of textiles was US $31 billion 724 million, an increase of 25.75% compared with the same period last year, and the total export volume of clothing was 49 billion 967 million US dollars, up 3.41% over the same period last year.

In the first half of this year, the total export value of footwear was 13 billion 459 million US dollars, up 12.5% over the same period last year. The total export volume of raw silk was 7234 tons, and the export amount was 1 billion 771 million 580 thousand US dollars, up 13.1% and 12.2% respectively from the same period last year.
